Announcing the return of MONDAY AFTERNOON CURLING and The Prestigious and Historical MAC TROPHY
Yes, it is true! The high calibre, Briar-like, curling previously practiced by the Masters of Williamsford Curling Club may be due for a return. There is no word yet that TNN will want to televise this sporting extravaganza but wait for it.
If we can find sixteen curlers with exaggerated self esteem (or those who just don’t give a hoot) we can make this historical renaissance happen this coming fall. You may indicate your interest by leaving your name and phone number on the poster at the club. Best hurry though. Now that the Briar is done some of the pros will no doubt be looking for action.

The Williamsford Ladies bonspiel was held on Saturday, January 27, 2018.
The weather was great, which we were very thankful for, especially since we had a team join us from Paris, Ontario. It was so nice to have visitors from afar and what a lovely, fun group of ladies they are.
We had lots of laughs and fun with people we don’t normally see in our own league. The non-winners all went home with a souvenir of the day in the form of a cute little bottle of wine.
There were two draws. The early draw was won by Debbie Fortney’s team with Liz Flewwelling as vice, Mavis Winch as second and Lorna Lagerquist as lead. The late draw was won by Pat Cardoza’s team with Renee Herringa as vice, Brett Freeman as second and leads Shannon Harnack/Andrea Haines.
Thank you to all the volunteers and people that contributed to the day by way of giving a helping hand and/or donating many wonderful items for our silent auction.
Congratulations to everyone involved.

Check us out and join us for an afternoon of fun. No charge.
Come out for an informal, fun, social curling experience.
